Trails Re-Revisited

Once again its been a bit quiet on the racing front. Been hitting up the road recently grinding that bigring and showing those roadies the MTB style. Attack early and Attack often.

Went to Joel and Sarah's pre-wedding party and watched the big man retire gracefully to a garden bed..... On Ya Champ. Well Done!

Another local rider suffered that night.... eat something wrong??? or was it the empty bottle of Beam....

Time to hitup some old trails
Good to see the new 575 still fits in the tray...

Good trails. Time to explore...

Wouldn't be a genuine mountain ride without having to walk up some hills. Doesn't look bad but there were plenty like this, way too steep to ride.

In other news, Bellie has proven that minimal training can still get results. After some early back issues he rallied to end up 2nd at the Scott 24 hour. Unreal.

No Scott 24 For Us

guess most will already know but to confirm, Ryan and I will not be doing the Scott24 as a pair this year. After the Taupo 12 hour we were unsure of our fitness but still sort of keen to race.

We'd already kinda decided that it wasn't going to happen due to work, money, riding, travel etc when James, Spoke(n)s other mechanic, had a bad accident on the roadbike. Thankfully he is fine, now out of hospital and on the mend. For those that haven't heard the story, James clipped a bus that was parked along beach road early one morning. He broke ribs, scapula and punctured his lung.

Something unbelievable to come out of the accident is that the bus company are suing james for the damage he did, with his chest, to the back of the bus.....

SO to the bus company we say.........
